Self-Care Snow Day Vibes

Snow days are the perfect days to make them all about self-care. It’s the perfect time because you’re stuck in the house with nowhere to go. All the things you’ve been putting off doing, now is the time to get it done. I’ll be sharing a few things I like to do on snow days. I’ll give you some ideas on how you can make the day productive and take care of yourself at the same time.

Snow Day Workout

Now it’s not my favorite thing to workout at home, but when you can’t leave the house you have no other choice. So to not miss a day, home workouts can be just as effective as gym workouts. If you have access to the internet than you can find a workout anywhere. I use the Tone and Sculpt app by Krissy Cela and she has a home program that I can easily flip to. This app has been a lifesaver and has been extremely helpful since Covid hit. If you don’t have an app you can easily YouTube, use your smart TV or your laptop to search any type of exercise you can think of. Once the workout is over you’ll feel accomplished and proud that you didn’t miss a session. If you don’t have any of these things then shoveling the snow is definitely a workout or even just playing in the snow with your kids will get your heart rate up!

Snow Day, Treat Day

Snow days are the best days to cook up your favorite meals that you don’t always have time for. You have the chance to take your time and make it with love. You can find a recipe and get your whole family involved in helping prepare. Give everyone a task and in the end everyone will feel like they put in their part to make the meal special. Don’t forget some hot chocolate, that’s always a must on a snow day!

Spa Time

Make some time for yourself to do something you want to do that’s relaxing. Have a little spa time. Take a bubble bath with a side of wine and a book. Give yourself a facial or include your partner and give each other couple’s massages. You’ll have time to unwind after all the day’s activities. By that time you’ll be ready for Netflix and cuddles!

I love snow. Self care is so important when it comes to winter as it often comes with some level of depression unless we are proactive!

Just in time, there’s a snowstorm outside! I will definitely try the Spa day in. Thank you for the ideas, snow days can get gloomy and mess with your mental health!

Self care is one of the most important things I have learned to do as a wife, mom, business owner. I can’t pour into others if I have not poured into myself! Great post! PS- send some snow to Georgia!

I’m here for any day that gives me a treat day!! One of my favorites is making a big pot of Colombian hot chocolate and swirling it with homemade marshmallows. We’re due for a bit of snow this weekend… so I’m off to check my supply of chocolate bars now 🙂
